PRP Becomes a WILD School
On Tuesday November 16th at 10:30am Precious Resources Preschool was dedicated as an official WILD School by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife. PRP will be the 3rd school in Geauga county to be a designated WILD school and the only preschool. Our families were present for the dedication and a live puppet show by our very own Planeteer Club. Mayor Brett of South Russell attended.
See the TV coverage at the "In The News" section of the site.
Holiday Tradition
Part of our holiday traditions and celebrations at PRP include decorating the main evergreen tree in South Russell. The tree is located at the intersection of 306 and Bell. During the month students make all natural bird feeders made of pine cones, birdseed dried fruit and cereals. Our students enjoy decorating the tree which will help the birds find food for the winter. This activity puts our students one step closer to becoming members of the Precious Planeteer Club. Family and friends joined their children to share the excitement.

Wild About Precious Resources
WILD About Us in Chicago!
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio —
A preschool can be a pretty 'wild' place.
The statement became truer than ever when a Geauga County school was commended for teaching young students about wildlife and conservation.
Precious Resources Preschool in Chagrin Falls was designated a 'WILD' school by the state department of wildlife.
The school earned the title by doing a number of projects such as building squirrel feeding stations and creating a cast of animal characters to teach the children about the environment.
"We are trying to teach children love of the earth itself and basically that includes all of the plants animals and all the creatures that live on the earth," said Barbara Quast, the school director. "And we are hoping that by doing that we will teach them to understand that they have a part in caring for the earth."
Precious Resources is the first preschool in the county to win the WILD certification.
